Pressure washing in Skåne

A driveway or stone paving that has sat in the shade for a couple of years loses both its colour and its grip. Algae makes the surface slippery, moss lifts the stones, and what was once a bright, inviting entrance turns dark and neglected. NordVerk offers professional pressure washing of driveways, garage entries, stone paving, concrete slabs and all types of hard surfaces across southwest Skåne. We adapt the pressure, nozzle and any post-treatment to your specific substrate, so the surface comes out clean without being damaged.

What a pressure washing job includes

Every job is a complete treatment, not just a rinse:

  • Pressure washing of the entire surface with adapted pressure and a rotary nozzle for an even result. We work section by section, overlapping to avoid streaks.
  • Stain removal of oil, grease, algae, moss and organic deposits. Oil stains are pre-treated with a degreasing agent before washing.
  • Joint cleaning at lower pressure with a wider nozzle to avoid damaging the joint material. Where joints are already damaged we note it and recommend a fix.
  • Post-treatment with joint sealing where needed, especially on block paving and concrete slabs in shaded positions where weeds and moss otherwise return quickly.
  • Removal of sludge and dirt loosened during the work. We do not leave a muddy driveway behind.
  • Visual inspection of the surface after washing, cracks, settlement or loose stones are reported immediately.

Different substrates: different methods

Not all hard surfaces are the same. We adapt:

  • Concrete slabs, most common on garage entries and older driveways. Tolerates higher pressure but needs the right angle for even cleaning without dulling the surface. Often needs post-treatment against algae.
  • Block paving and concrete block, modern driveways and paths. Medium pressure, extra care around the joints. A rotary nozzle gives the most even result.
  • Natural stone, granite, limestone, slate. Low to medium pressure depending on the stone's hardness. Limestone is the most sensitive and requires special care, never an acidic cleaning agent.
  • Asphalt, driveways and parking. Tolerates pressure but needs the right distance to avoid tearing the surface. Oil stains are always pre-treated.
  • Garden paths of gravel and shingle, we do not use pressure washing here but mechanical clearing and top-up of fresh gravel where needed.
  • Quarry tile and ceramic, patio floors and entrance areas. Low pressure and mild cleaning agent, joints cleaned by hand where needed.

You do not need to know what substrate you have, we assess it at the inspection.

When to do pressure washing

Skåne's climate gives us a long season, from March to October:

  • Spring (March to May): The best time. Surfaces are often at their dirtiest after winter and you get a clean entrance ahead of the full outdoor season. Weed prevention treatment has time to work before seeds germinate.
  • Summer (June to August): Works well. Dry surfaces mean faster drying after washing. We avoid the hottest days as cleaning agents dry too fast.
  • Autumn (September to October): Works fine, especially for surfaces being prepared for winter. Leaves and organic material needing removal are often wet and come off more easily.
  • Winter (November to February): We do not pressure wash in winter, the risk of ice forming and creating slip hazards is too high.

One visit, the whole plot

Most customers have several surfaces done in a single visit:

  • Driveway + garage entry + paths, one job, one invoice.
  • Driveway + deck + fence, combined with our facade cleaning.
  • The whole property, including parking, entrance area and bin store area for housing associations.

It is more efficient for us and cheaper for you than booking separate visits.

Pressure washing for housing associations and businesses

We have framework contracts with housing associations and property owners in Lund, Malmö and Lomma municipality. For housing associations we offer:

  • Parking areas, garage entries, walkways and entrance areas
  • Bin stores and recycling rooms, areas that are often overlooked
  • Multi-season planning so the entire stock is rotated
  • Report to the board after each job

For businesses we focus on customer parking, entrance areas and loading zones.

50% RUT deduction, how it works

Pressure washing of hard surfaces on your own property is fully RUT-eligible:

  • 50% tax reduction on labour costs deducted directly on the invoice
  • Max 75,000 SEK per person per year (150,000 SEK for a couple in the same household)
  • We handle all reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency, you do not need to do anything

Material costs (cleaning agents, joint sealing, new jointing) are not covered by RUT, but for pure washing jobs labour is almost the entire invoice. Read more on our RUT page.

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers to what we get asked every week. If yours is not here, just call, we are happy to help.

  1. 01What can you pressure wash?
We pressure wash driveways, garage entries, parking areas, stone paving, concrete slabs, block paving, garden paths, steps and other hard surfaces. We adjust the pressure and nozzle to the substrate for the best result without damaging the surface or the joints.
  2. 02How often should I pressure wash my driveway?
Most driveways and stone paving benefit from a thorough clean every two to three years. Surfaces in shaded areas or near trees may need more frequent cleaning as algae and moss thrive there. We give an individual recommendation at the free inspection.
  3. 03Is pressure washing RUT-eligible?
Yes, pressure washing of hard surfaces on your own property is covered by the RUT deduction. You receive a 50% tax reduction on labour costs directly on the invoice. We are F-tax registered and handle all reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency. The maximum is 75,000 SEK per person per year.
  4. 04Can you treat the joints against weeds after washing?
Yes, after cleaning we can apply joint sealing and weed prevention where needed. This reduces the risk of weeds and moss quickly returning in the joints between stones. We especially recommend this for block paving and concrete slabs in shaded positions.
  5. 05Doesn't pressure washing damage the joints between stones?
Not if done correctly. We use lower pressure and a rotary nozzle for cleaning near joints, and work systematically. The main rule is to never aim full pressure straight down into a joint. If the joints have already started to crumble we recommend re-pointing first and then cleaning, that saves you doing the work twice.
  6. 06Which areas in Skåne do you cover?
We cover all of southwest Skåne, from Falsterbo in the south to Båstad in the north. Most active in Lund (Professorsstaden, Östra Torn), Malmö (Limhamn, Bellevue, Djupadal, Bunkeflostrand), Lomma municipality (Lomma, Bjärred), Vellinge municipality (Vellinge, Höllviken, Skanör, Falsterbo), Staffanstorp, Bara, Svedala and Helsingborg (Laröd).
