Garden Maintenance in Bellevue: Malmö
Bellevue is one of Malmö's most exclusive villa neighbourhoods, sitting on the coast in Limhamn-Bunkeflo with some of the city's most distinctive private gardens. The streets running off Limhamnsvägen and down toward Ribersborg contain larger lots than almost anywhere else in central Malmö, with mature plantings, formally clipped hedges, decades-old ornamental trees and pool areas that require careful coordination during the working season.
Service here has to match the standard of the gardens. Professional, discreet, technically right for the area's mature plantings, and quiet enough that the customer does not have to think about us being there. That is how we work. Many of our Bellevue customers have been with us for years and brought us in through neighbour referrals, which is also the only marketing channel we actively use in the area.
What makes Bellevue unique, and how we adapt
The area has a handful of recurring features that shape how we plan every visit.
Larger lots. Many gardens are 1,500 to 3,000+ m². That means ride-on mowers, longer visits, and a plan that splits work into components per visit rather than trying to do everything in one pass. A 2,000 m² lot typically gets a half-day visit every other week in season.
Tall privacy screens. Thuja, yew and cherry laurel at 3 to 5 meters are common along the property lines that face Limhamnsvägen and the side streets. We use platforms and fall-arrest harnesses for safe work up to about 4 meters. For taller hedges, we add a lift and quote it separately so the cost is visible up front.
Mature ornamental and fruit trees. Many gardens have 30 to 60-year-old apples, pears, magnolias, columnar hornbeams and Japanese maples. Pruning is planned by species and season, not by what is convenient on the day. We never remove more than 25% of the crown in a single intervention, which protects the tree's structural integrity over the long term.
Pool areas and pavilions. We adapt methods around sensitive surfaces: no chemical weeding within five meters of the pool, careful manual work on teak decking, no ride-on equipment on areas with reinforced concrete tiles that can crack under point load. Pool covers are noted as no-go zones in the work order.
Discreet service as a baseline. Quiet equipment, weekday daytime, parking outside the property when possible, no intrusive communication. We report by email or SMS after each visit, short and factual, with nothing extraneous.
Common assignments in Bellevue
A few jobs come up repeatedly in the area.
The formal hedge package. A 35 m run of thuja or yew at 3 m height that needs to look exactly the same year after year. Two trims per season (June and August), measured cuts, debris hauled the same day. We photograph the hedge each spring as a reference profile.
Pool-area cleanup before the season. Late April or early May, the pool gets uncovered and the surrounding garden has to match. Beds cleaned, hedges trimmed, lawn brought up to standard, paths swept. Often a one-off that converts to a year-round contract.
Heritage tree management. A 60-year-old magnolia or weeping willow that the owner inherited with the house. We produce a pruning plan over three to five seasons rather than trying to fix everything in one visit, and bring in a certified arborist for structural cuts.
Storm response. Bellevue is exposed to autumn storms off Öresund. After major weather events we triage contract customers promptly, remove risk branches and produce a follow-up quote for any larger structural work.
Pricing and the RUT-avdrag in Bellevue
All our services in Bellevue are eligible for the RUT-avdrag (50% labor tax deduction). For English-speaking readers new to the system, here is how it works:
- The labor portion of every invoice is automatically discounted by 50%.
- The cap is 75,000 SEK per person per year, which means a household with two adults has a combined annual ceiling of 150,000 SEK.
- We are registered for F-skatt (registered Swedish business tax), which is the prerequisite for applying the deduction on your behalf. You do nothing administratively; we report everything to Skatteverket and the discount appears on your invoice.
- Material costs (plants, soil, gravel, replacement irrigation parts) are not RUT-eligible, but for most Bellevue contracts labor accounts for 90%+ of the total.
RUT cuts the labor cost in half directly on the invoice, assuming the household has its full annual allowance available. The net price varies with the property's size and scope of work. We always provide a written fixed-price quote after inspection. More on our RUT page.
Why Bellevue customers choose us
- Fixed team, fixed contact. The same people return every visit and a named account manager responds promptly.
- Year-round setup. One invoice cycle, one contact, everything from the first spring mow to the last winter snow event.
- F-skatt registered. We handle all RUT reporting to Skatteverket and share certificates on request.
- Discreet communication. No unannounced visits, no aggressive marketing, no upsell calls. Reports are short, written and factual.
- Priority for urgent needs. Storm damage, sudden snowfall, a tree branch resting on the roof, contract customers go first.

How to get started
Get in touch and we will book a site visit at a time that works for you. The inspection is free and entirely without obligation. We walk the property with you, listen to your preferences, photograph the key components (mature trees, hedge profiles, pool boundaries, problem corners), and produce a written fixed-price quote promptly.
For Bellevue customers we routinely sign a non-disclosure agreement before the inspection if you would prefer. We never publish customer addresses, names or photographs without explicit written consent, and our crew is briefed on confidentiality as part of onboarding. Once the contract is signed, your named account manager handles every change request and you have a single point of contact for the duration of the relationship.
